Anderson Strathern has appointed Graham White as Head of Estate Agency and Sales as part of the strategy for growth in the firm’s Residential Property Team. Graham is a specialist in valuation and residential sales marketing strategy and he has huge experience in the Edinburgh and Lothians market, with a particular focus on East Lothian.
Originally, from Haddington, Graham began his estate agency career in the competitive English marketplace, before returning to East Lothian in 2005 to local East Lothian firm Garden Stirling and Burnet, where he spent the majority of his years developing his skills and becoming an expert in the East Lothian market. Prior to joining Anderson Strathern, Graham had also worked as Head of Estate Agency at large Edinburgh letting agent Braemore, where he was instrumental in setting up a private estate agency business from scratch.
Graham is now delighted to be taking up the reins at Anderson Strathern and to be going back to his roots in East Lothian where he will be based in the firm’s Haddington office providing a proactive and innovative client service. He says his decision to join the firm was an easy one, as it is committed to expansion and to providing a private client and residential property service in East Lothian that has a local focus with a national reach. Graham said:
Anderson Strathern is trusted by private individuals, companies, government departments, education establishments, public sector bodies and commercial decision makers and I am committed to strengthening our offering and to raising the residential department to the highest possible level. In East Lothian in particular, Anderson Strathern’s private client practice and residential estate agency are the core elements of our business and people expect the best from us, so I am here to deliver it. I am looking forward to helping all of the local people with their selling, buying and residential property needs and to realise the marketing potential their home could have.
Graham joins the Anderson Strathern Residential Property Team as the latest in a line of influential appointments and expansions. The firm successfully merged with the longstanding and renowned Glasgow private client firm, Jeffrey Aitken, in March 2016. The merger saw Glasgow property and private client specialists Alasdair Gillies and Gordon Frew deliver a huge volume of west coast residential property business into the firm, together with a vastly increased profile. The merger followed a highly successful period for the Residential Property Team under the leadership of partner, Sara Jalicy, who joined in the financial year 2014-2015 and, at age 29, was the firm’s youngest partner in a decade.Sara’s leadership has seen the team shortlisted for Residential Property Team of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards and Sara was voted the winner of the Rising Star of the Year Award. Sara said:
Graham’s arrival is a huge coup for the firm. I can think of no one who possesses valuation and marketing experience quite like his and the East Lothian market is undoubtedly going to benefit hugely from his presence at our local office in Haddington, where he is based. Clients are already contacting us following news of his appointment to set up their pre-sale valuations and to gain his insightful views on selling. It is a very exciting time for the team and for the firm and it confirms Anderson Strathern’s commitment to enhancing our local residential property offering and the bespoke private client service.
